Aloo matar is such a commonly made curry in Punjabi homes that it never occurred to me to put it on my blog. But many a times, I get students who want to learn basic day to day dishes especially the young girls.

Earlier girls used to learn cooking from their mother or grandmother. These days, the young generation wants to learn cooking either from some cooking classes or from internet. Then it occurred to me why not to put it on my blog.

So here I’m with my simple yet delicious, everyday dish….. Aloo Matar

  1. I so miss matar here. We do get green peas here but it is sweet. Indian store green peas are better, but still isn’t close to ones in India. Love aloo matar. It was a regular at my neighbors back home and I used to eat shameless at their place whenever they made it .

  2. Aloo matar ki sabji taste so awesome with either rice or rori/paratha. Whenever I have some boiled potatos I prefer to make this.
