Apples pie is America’s most favored dish.Since I’m not a big fan of baked apples, I always used to wonder what’s so special about this Apple pie.
It’s not that I didn’t make it ever. Infact, made it couple of times but never liked the taste of it as much as it is praised.
I must admit that I always made Apple pie with red Kullu apples which are more on a sweeter side. Whereas whatever recipes I had read on the net, they all call for golden cooking apples. Since no one in my family is fond of golden apple because of their sweet tart flavour, I hardly buy those apples. This time I bought golden apples along with my usual red apples and thought of giving another try to apple pie. Thank God I tried it, it was so fantastically yum that me and my daughter finished half of it as soon as it came out of oven (all others were sleeping as it was late in the night). Half I kept to serve it to rest of the family in the morning. To my surprise, it was liked by all except my husband, who doesn’t eat any pie.
Since that was a trial and I didn’t click any pics, so made it again. Now I also fall in the category of apple pie lovers… Thanks to golden apple ??
