Chana Paratha/ Chole Paratha recipe

Chana Paratha/ Chole Paratha recipe

What North Indians love to have in their breakfast…. Unanimous answer…. Parathas. Yes, we may have variety of things in breakfast, but what gives us, the North Indians especially Punjabis immense satisfaction is, parathas. And if it is the stuffed paratha….. To kehna hi kya (there is nothing like that).

I make different types of parathas… Either stuffed or by addition of various things in the dough itself. One of the stuffed paratha that is my kid’s favourite is ‘Chana paratha’. No, this is not paratha served with chana, but this is the chana stuffed paratha. While the kids enjoy this paratha, I get the satisfaction of serving them protein rich breakfast.

  1. Love this chole paratha. Surely with all fillings, it must be tasting heavenly. Beautiful presentation as it is looking awesome.

  2. Though we are South Indians, ask us and our unanimous choice for breakfast would be Paratha / Roti! This is one protein packed paratha Ritu and I am sure my kids would love this one!

  3. Its absolutely true that since North Indians love to have parathas with practically every meal there are so many different varieties. Chana dal filled parathas look scrumptious. I could have them on their own with just some pickle.

  4. This is a fantastic choice Ritu, though we are very fond of stuffed parathas, I have never thought of making with chana, sounds so healthy and such a variety too..love how the parathas have turned out. Will surely be bookmarking this!
