Few days back, my daughter’s exam had finished and she wanted to celebrate with her friends. They had decided to hold a get together at one of her friend’s house. So she requested me to make a chocolate cake with frosting for her friends. How can I say no to her sweet request. So made a chocolate cake.
I rarely use condensed milk but this time I wanted to give some richness to the cake. So made chocolate cake with condensed milk.
She wanted me to frost the cake but keeping some surprise. She didn’t want to reveal that it was a chocolate cake until cut. So I applied salted caramel between the layers and frosted the cake with whipped cream.
Chocolate Cake With Condensed Milk
Sieve together maida, cornflour, cocoa, baking powder and baking soda. Keep aside.
In a bowl whisk oil and powdered sugar. Add condensed milk and whisk well.
Add vanilla and vinegar. Mix well.
Add dry ingredients and milk alternating with each other
Mix gently to get a smooth batter.
Pour batter in a greased 8 inch pan and bake in preheated oven at 180°C for 35-40 minutes or till the toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Take out of the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
Wrap in a cling film to store or frost as you like.
