Chocolate Halwa Recipe

Chocolate Halwa Recipe

I’m taking part in this blogging marathon for the first time. So, naturally, I am very excited about it. My theme for participation is chocolate. I took a lot of time in deciding the things I’ll make for the event. I wanted to make something different. Finally, an idea struck my mind….. I could make chocolate halwa!!

I googled to check if somebody else had made it. To my surprise, only few people had made it but I decided to make it in an altogether different way. I succeeded in the third attempt with the two initial attempts not being appreciated. Infact, not only the kids, my whole family liked it. I had made a small batch of it and it was gone in a minute. So, the next time I had to double the quantity as I had to get it passed by the kids. For that, I sent it to my daughter’s school. As usual, all her friends liked it. That gave me a boost to send my recipe for blogging marathon.

Here it goes….

  1. Welcome to the blogging marathon, Ritu ! The barfi looks really good .. There’s milk in ur ingredients, is there a step which says how to use it ? Would love to make this for my kids ..

    1. Thanks Kalyani. Milk has to be added along with condensed milk, after the wheat flour is roasted.
I couldn’t take the pic of that step as my halwa was getting dried up.Its optional. As I do not like too much of condensed milk so I decreased its amount, instead added milk. Its up to you either add only condensed milk or both milk and CM. But in that case reduce the amount of sugar.

  2. Wow that surely looks like a fantastic halwa to make..sorry I am catching up with these posts only now. I have been enjoying all your posts you have shared with BM..great job!
