I’m taking part in this blogging marathon for the first time. So, naturally, I am very excited about it. My theme for participation is chocolate. I took a lot of time in deciding the things I’ll make for the event. I wanted to make something different. Finally, an idea struck my mind….. I could make chocolate halwa!!
I googled to check if somebody else had made it. To my surprise, only few people had made it but I decided to make it in an altogether different way. I succeeded in the third attempt with the two initial attempts not being appreciated. Infact, not only the kids, my whole family liked it. I had made a small batch of it and it was gone in a minute. So, the next time I had to double the quantity as I had to get it passed by the kids. For that, I sent it to my daughter’s school. As usual, all her friends liked it. That gave me a boost to send my recipe for blogging marathon.
Here it goes….
Step-wise Recipe of Chocolate Halwa
Heat butter in a saucepan.
Add wheat flour to it.
Saute it on a low flame till a nice aroma start coming out and color of flour changes to golden brown.
Add cocoa powder, sugar, condensed milk and milk to the flour.
Stir continuously to avoid lump formation and keep on cooking it till it comes in the form of mass.
Switch off the flame.
Serve it hot or cold. You can cut it in the form of burfi as well.
