Eggless Whole Wheat Almond Brownie

Last week we had a wedding in the family, so I was expecting many guests at home. When kids are coming, I have to think about something that they would love to eat.

All of my nephews and niece expect me to bake something chocolaty for them. What could be better than a brownie. So I decided to make a brownie for them. Instead of making my usual brownie, I gave a twist to it by making it whole wheat flour almond brownie and to intensify the flavours used coffee powder.

Whole Wheat almond brownie
Instructions
  1. Mix all the dry ingredients together.
  2. Add coffee and liquid glucose to 100 ml hot water. Mix well and keep aside.
  3. Add oil in dry ingredients and rub all the ingredients well.
  4. Add coffee and rest of the water to the dry ingredients and mix to form batter.
  5. Add half of the the almonds in the batter and reserve half to put on the top.
  6. Pour the batter in a butter paper lined tray.
  7. Sprinkle rest of the almonds on the top.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for 35- 40 minute.
  9. Allow the brownie to cool completely before cutting.
  10. Enjoy warm with a drizzle of chocolate sauce or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
