How many of you are like me….homemade dips and sauces freak. I just can’t satisfy myself with store bought material and will try to make them at home.
When I first read about homemade Nutella in Gayathri’s blog, I always wanted to make it, but somehow it took a back seat.
Few month back, when my father came back from US, along with other goodies he also brought a big pack of hazelnuts. My dear sister knows that I love to have this type of items related to cooking rather than cosmetics, so she sends a big bag exclusively for me full of all cooking related things. Sisters are like that only…. Always caring and know what you want, just like a mother.
This week, I’m running blogging marathon with the theme condiments. While I was thinking about the options that I can make for this theme, my daughter reminded me of long due Nutella spread (she is a huge fan of Nutella and when I need Nutella for something, the jar is always licked empty…. Courtesy to this little girl of mine 😁). Without any ifs and buts, I decided to make it.
I looked for various recipes and found all of them to be almost similar. With a little tweak, I made my Nutella and asked the critics…. My son, to taste it. He loved the taste of it, in fact more than the store bought, only difference between the two, that both of us noticed was the texture. Store bought Nutella is a bit smoother than home made. Then I looked for the texture of other’s homemade Nutella and got satisfied to find out the same story with others as well. So who cares for the little difference in the texture when the taste is far better and you know what is there inside.
Here is how I made my Nutella spread…
I am sending this recipe for Blogging Marathon #89 Week 2 Day 3
