Last month in blogging marathon I had a very interesting theme that is liked by kids and adults alike. Kids never get tired of eating it. Any guesses? Yeah…. You guessed it right. It’s everybody’s favorite Pizza.
But due to some problems, could not post it. Now all those pizza recipes and thanksgiving day recipes are lying in my folder. Some of them that involved baking, I’m going to post in this month’s Bakeathon. December is a very busy month this year, so using those drafts will make my life easier.
When I took this theme, I knew that there is no pizza recipe on my blog, though I make pizza frequently at home. The reason of absence of pizza from my blog is….my pizza hungry kids. They can’t wait for me to take pics and want their pizza as soon as it is out of oven. Normally I make pizza for the dinner, when everybody is at home and the whole family can enjoy it together.
Initially, I used to get pizza base from market and used to do topping only. When I started baking breads, pizza base become a home made thing. Now I don’t get it from market. In fact, a couple of pizza bases are mostly lying in my fridge to feed the hungry tummies, whenever they like. This is the best way to please them. Making pizza base at home has an added advantage that I can make it with whole wheat flour, so can serve my family guilt free.
In pizza making, crust or base plays a very important part. It could be thin and crispy or thick and spongy. It is only individual preference. My kids like their pizza to be thick and spongy where as I like it thin crust and crisp.
My today’s recipe is a spongy pizza base made by using all purpose flour.
