December is the month when we blogging marathoners, in addition to regular blogging go for baking expedition……Bake-a-thon.
In this Bake-a-thon, everyone come out with their best baking recipes on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and at the end of the month our bookmark folder is filled with fantastic recipes to be tried asap. This can be even you, if you visit my space on all these three days to look into my recipe and my blogger friend’s recipes.
For the first day, I have made this ice cream cone cake. No.. This is not ice cream cake actually but a cake made in ice cream cones and then frosted to give it the look of ice cream in a cone.
My daughter is very fond of tutti frutti cake, so in this cake I have used my tutti frutti cake recipe. For the cones, I couldn’t get flat bottomed cones, so used regular ones and cut them from the bottom. While I was making this cake, at the same time I was also making chocolate cookies (recipe I’ll post later), so used that dough to seal the cut bottoms. I frosted the ice cream cone cake with whipped cream frosting and topped then with different flavors of sauces and some sprinklers
