My kids always have unending demands as far as food is concerned. They watch some food video and come running to me that they are feeling hungry. Now I can’t be ready with some snacks all the time. Who will make them understand that the ‘tasty’ channel has myriad of men working for them. That’s the reason they can make so many food videos to tempt viewers like my kids.

Anyway, to deal with emergency situations, when there isn’t anything that I can offer them to satiate their hunger pangs, I always keep boiled potatoes in my fridge. They come very handy as a plethora of dishes could be made with boiled potatoes within no time like cutlets, sandwiches, bread roll, parathas just to name a few.

Today also, when the kids started demanding for something hot and chatpata, I could make them happy by offering these jhatpat tikis. The best thing about these tikis is, they were on the plate with in 15 minutes. Moreover, they absorbed a little oil. I just used 2 tbsp of oil, but more than half of the oil was still left on my tawa over which I had make these tikis.
