There is something with summers that mars your appetite. You either want to drink liquids or gorge on fruits. Summers come packed with array of fruits like melon, watermelon, mango, peach, plum, cherries, litchis etc.
All these fruits are so juicy or puppy that you are drenched with their luscious taste and flavour.
My kids like to have fruits in the form of juices while I prefer whole fruit that had added benefits. Rather than struggling to make them eat fruits, I frequently make fruit salads in one way or the other.
The colourful medley of fresh fruits looks so appealing that I need not to insist them to eat, but have to keep the bowl in front of them and its gone in minutes. That way they eat plenty of fruits without any insistence.
This week in blogging marathon, I’m all for healthy recipes i.e. Salads. After making No Mayonnaise Coleslaw for day 1, I decided to make Rainbow Fruit Salad with Citrus lemon dressing for the second day. It is a very easy but catchy salad. All you have to do is, peel and cut the fruits, blend it with some Citrus juices and honey dressing and voila…. You get a delicious, colourful salad in minutes.
