Whenever my son comes back from hostel, his first query is…what’s for the dinner? If my answer is ‘dal chapati’ he literally gets mad. And I love to see his irritated expressions.

Today, instead of irritating him, I wanted to make him happy. So decided to make some quick appetizer for him. I had some boiled potatoes in fridge, so thought of making cutlets out of them.

Then this thought of making semolina cutlet, that I haven’t made in a while, came to my mind. Both my kids were so pleased when I called them from their room to have their evening milk with semolina cutlets that were crisp from outside with a soft interior, palak pakoras and whole wheat sugar free muffins.

You too make these cutlets and enjoy your evening tea.

Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, take all the ingredients.
  2. Mix well to make it look like dough.
  3. Pinch out tennis ball sized dough. Roll into a ball, coat with sooji and then flatten it.
  4. Heat oil in a wok and fry cutlets till golden brown on both sides.
  5. Serve hot with green chutney or tomato sauce.
