Whenever my son comes back from hostel, his first query is…what’s for the dinner? If my answer is ‘dal chapati’ he literally gets mad. And I love to see his irritated expressions.

Today, instead of irritating him, I wanted to make him happy. So decided to make some quick appetizer for him. I had some boiled potatoes in fridge, so thought of making cutlets out of them.

Then this thought of making semolina cutlet, that I haven’t made in a while, came to my mind. Both my kids were so pleased when I called them from their room to have their evening milk with semolina cutlets that were crisp from outside with a soft interior, palak pakoras and whole wheat sugar free muffins.

You too make these cutlets and enjoy your evening tea.

  1. Even sometimes we are bored of eating daily daily dal chapati, Can’t think of a better dish for the kids with the given combination of ingredients. This cutlets looks super delicious 😋

  2. That’s two of my most favourite ingredients in a recipe! I can imagine the gooey, spicy centres and the very crispy outside. What a treat with green chutney and chai! 😋

  3. My mom loved semolina cutlets and I make them even now for my husband who is a big fan of these. Simple ingredients but such a lovely starter / snack option. Also quick to make if suddenly guests come over. Hope your son was happy and not complaining after gorging on these beauties.
