Few days back, I was just flicking through some posts on a group and happened to see a post that attracted me with its looks and ease with which they were made. It was garlic knots.

At that time I wasn’t in a mood to make them so didn’t note down the source. But now, when I was to submit my post under lunch box theme for the third day, it reminded me of those garlic knots. To make these knots I used my normal bread dough recipe. The knots came out so pillowy and flavour full that they were gone soon after making them. I had to make them again in the evening when some guests were coming for dinner. I served these knots with soup.

Here is the recipe of garlic knots. Go, try and lemme know how you liked them.

Instructions
  1. Mix warm water, sugar and yeast together. Keep it for 5 minutes to proof.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Make a well in the center of the flour and pour in the oil, then the yeast-water mixture.
  3. Mix this together to form a soft dough and knead for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Shape the dough into a ball and lightly coat with oil.
  5. Put it in a greased bowl, keep it at room temperature to rise to double of its size.
  6. When the dough has doubled in size, divide it into half.
  7. Roll each piece into a rectangle of about 5 inches long 1/2 inch thick.
  8. Using a pizza cutter, slice the dough into strips of about 1 inch wide.
  9. Roll the strips in your hands to look like ropes and then tie in knots.
  10. Place the knots on a greased baking sheet and allow them to rise for another 10 minutes.
  11. Bake at 220 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.
  12. While they are baking melt the butter and mix with minced garlic, chopped coriander, mixed herbs, chilli flakes and a dash of salt.
  13. As soon as the garlic knots come out of the oven, drizzle prepared seasoning over it.
  14. Toss the knots to coat with garlic seasoning all over. Enjoy!
