Dessert is a necessity for my sweet loving family, especially on Sundays. Rest of the days they can at least survive without it but not on Sundays?. Out of all the desserts that I make, Sweet Vermicelli is one such dessert that is close to my heart.
This simple and tasteful dessert is made in almost all Indian homes. You do not need any special occasion to make this delightful dessert. Whenever some sudden guest arrive or you are short of time, this easy and scrumptious dessert comes to a rescue. Moreover, it is also made during festival like Ramadan, Diwali etc.
Vermicelli or meethi seviyan can be made with milk or with condensed milk or without milk. Addition of loads of dry fruits or spices like saffron or cardamom enhances its taste and flavor many folds.
