Tawa pulao is a famous street food in Mumbai like pav bhaji, vada pav etc. It is made on big tawa, so is the name. But it is not necessary to make on tawa only, rather it can be made in a pan.Otherwise it is just an Indian version of fried rice.Tasty and healthy at the same time. Any vegetable can be added depending on season and your likings. It takes very less time to make if you have left over rice.

Heat oil on a tawa or wok and add cumin.
Once it starts spluttering, add onion and saute until translucent.
Add ginger garlic paste and saute further.
Add tomatoes and cook till soft.
