Tick tock tick…..7:00 O’clock. Omg..I got late. I didn’t hear the alarm ringing or must have switched it off. Oh… These cold winter mornings…. Don’t want to come out of comforter, but school van will come in forty five minutes. What will I make now?? What’s in the food schedule?? Thank God, it’s Monday….. Wow!! That means I can make pulao. So vegetable pulao for today.
My daughter just loves this pulao. I too….I have number of reasons…. It’s healthy, full of veggies, tasty and most important takes just 15 minutes to get ready except the soaking time for rice. No problem in that too, I can have my tea during those 15 minutes of soaking?.
After having my cup of tea (soaking of rice and nutri), I was left with just 25 minutes for the school van to arrive. On one side I kept water for boiling and started chopping vegetable. By the time water became boiling hot, I had sauteed all the vegetables. Next poured the rice, sauteed them and then added hot water. You can add normal water as well. I added hot water just to save the time. My rice got ready within 10 minutes. Packed it in my daughter’s tiffin.. ta-da… mission accomplished?.
